The Boys are back in Town

Hello Everyone,

It has been such a long time since I put paw to paper – and so much has happened in that time. Bruno and I have visited so many new, diverse and exciting places and we have lots of tales to tell you all about them.

We have walked every day since last I wrote, and there is always something new to experience – new sounds, new sights, new scents.

But on Saturday - our walk did not go according to plan. We went for a walk by the river Coquet, and I just didn’t have enough energy to put one paw in front of another. In fact, I fell over – twice – and my humans rushed me off to see my dogtor.

They had been aware that I had a slow heartbeat for some time, but up to now, it had never appeared to affect me. Now, however, it seems that my heart rate has become rather erratic and, sometimes it is just too slow to pump blood around my body and so I fall over.

I fell over so many times on Saturday – my poor human family lost count – they just didn’t know what to do and they all thought that my days were numbered.

However, it is now Tuesday, and I have not had any more collapses. I am enjoying my walks with Bruno more than ever -although I don’t really want to walk too fast – or indeed too far!

There is nothing like a health scare to focus the mind and I am determined to share our love of nature with you  - and open your minds and hearts to the treasures at our paws wherever we go – mountain, moor, wood and coast.

We are back

to 'walk the walks',

'talk the talks'

and celebrate 'life'.
